Come visit us

Coming to the Borgo is not a simple visit but a full-fledged sensory experience.

This is why ours is the Tour of the Five Senses, because everyone is actively involved.

We start with Sight, then move on to Touch, then Smell, then Hearing and finally Taste, the most important.

For us, it's essential to explain while visitors see, touch, smell, hear, and taste. Nothing is left to chance; every single step is experienced fully and intensely.

At Borgo the visitor can understand why man belongs to the animal world and experience it first hand.

At Borgo the entire journey is aimed at the flakes of parmesan that are tasted at the end, where you can perceive all its sweetness on the palate, the synthesis between our thousand-year history and the choices that have characterized our last decades.

Unique experience? Probably yes because the immersion in our history through a narration steeped in history, geography, psychology, philosophy, animal husbandry, computer science seasoned with so much, so much passion and also a generous pinch of irony, makes the two and a half hours of tour with us (for those who book the tour with the owners and employees of the company) a time of rare intensity especially emotional. Our communication, built, brick by brick, over the course of 25 years starting from a simple degree thesis, is continually evolving just like our cheese.

Try to see, to touch, to smell, to listen, to taste and to… believe!

From a blade of grass to a 100-month form: in less than two hours you can see every step from the land that feeds the animals to the production of the finest Parmigiano-Reggiano forms!

Over the decades, people from all over Europe and the world have come to visit us: from Japan to Bahrain, from China to South America, and each of our visitors has had the opportunity to get to know our product up close, seeing first-hand the history and work that goes into each piece of cheese.

Our policy of absolute transparency makes guided tours a cornerstone and over the years we have accompanied school groups, tourists, buyers and international food experts to "touch with their hands" our reality, to visit it, tasting our product to verify with the palate what we have always flaunted as a source of pride, the particular sweetness of the product.

The feedback we have received from various visitors over the years has comforted us in this sense, confirming that the path we have taken is the right one to differentiate ourselves in offering a product of the highest quality. The invitation to visit our reality therefore remains and will always remain one of our priorities!

The visits, which we have always carried out with the utmost respect for hygiene and cleanliness, are now also organized in full compliance with the anti-Covid-19 regulations.

A minimum of two people is required to organize a guided tour.

They visited us from all over the

Last December 6th we received a visit from a group of tourists near Florence.

The irrepressible and proverbial Tuscan sympathy invaded the Borgo for almost three hours of pleasant visit.

It was a real pleasure to receive the group led by Mr. Massimo Capogrossi who, despite some small setbacks during the trip, managed to arrive on time to see the best and most suggestive phases of our production.

The entire Borgo thanks them, wishing them the best Happy Holidays and, why not, that their visit is only the first of a long series!

The year 2014 also left us with pleasant memories related to our visitors.

The Bastos couple from Portugal and their two beautiful children could certainly not be an exception.

For them it was certainly interesting to see the processing and hear the details of the processing of our noble cheese explained, known throughout the world but almost unknown to most people as regards its production.

For us, as always, it was an emotional moment to see two children who, when they tasted the cheese, spoke with their bright eyes. Believe us, for us producers there is nothing more beautiful than making children happy when we give them our cheese!

Result: two wonderful hours spent together and a heartfelt thanks to the Bastos couple, who later also became our e-commerce customers, for their visit and for their wonderful family!

The year 2014 is destined to go down in history as the year of firsts. After Malta, we were also visited by a group from Canton, China. To be precise, the first Chinese were a television crew, Simona Ruan and her group were the first tourists. Thank you for their visit, it was nice to have our little visitors use our hammer to make shapes expert!

Our new year really started with a bang!

The Urmezter brothers and their friend really won everyone over with their friendliness.

It is usually said that Germans are not ironic. They were a very pleasant exception, always ready with a joke and very fascinated by our warehouse.

Thanks guys for the two hours spent with you, you were truly an explosion of sympathy!!!

Last June 27th we received the pleasant visit of two Maltese tourists, the first ever from that splendid island.

We had the opportunity to talk about our cheese but also… about their unsurpassed sea.

Thank you Joanna for your visit, we had you as welcome visitors and if by chance you want to come back…we are always here!

Unless we happen to have a swim in the Maltese seas
